Bangkok United’s Teeratep ‘Leesaw’ Winothai has completed his loan to Chonburi FC till the end of the season. Official announcements have been made by both the club and player on Wednesday via their social media.
It is understood that the former Crystal Palace youth striker is in need of playing time and the loan move to one of the most popular Thai League clubs couldn’t have come at the right moment.
“I do not really have a huge plan but really just want to play as much as I can and score as many goals as possible for the new club. I believe I have got much more to offer. And most of all, I would want to do my best to help the team to stay within the top-10 position in the league,” commented Teeratep in an exclusive phone interview with Junpiter Futbol.
Having spent 4 years with Bangkok United, clocking an amazing 83 caps and 23 goals, what does the flamboyant 34-year-old have to say to his football fans?
“To all my fans out there, I promise this new journey is going to be fun. I will do my very best in every game that I will be playing. Will be entertaining for sure, haha! Come, let’s fill the Stadium and let’s enjoy Thai football together!”

The 4-times Southeast Asian Games football gold medalist winner has spent 4 years playing for Crystal Palace Youth before the working permit forced him back to Thailand. Having clocked a total of more than 300 appearances in the Thai League with BEC Tero Sasana, Muangthong United, Bangkok Glass, Police and Bangkok United, the Thai International striker also had a brief spell with Belgium’s Lierse S.K. in which he scored 3 goals in 6 appearances.
