“The difference between this and video game is that it’s real. Everything you do on the pitch is done by you, not some artificial intelligence”, said English Subbuteo champ, Chris Thomas. The best replica game of real football, Subbuteo, is hitting the town again!
Peter Adolph invented Subbuteo in 1947 and today, Table Football Association of Singapore (TFAS), which participated in the Subbuteo World Cup at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium 2 months ago, together with Paradigm Infinitum, the distributor of Subbuteo in ASEAN, are taking the lead to bring the game to the neighbourhood, to all football lovers in Singapore.
Junpiter Futbol visited TFAS at Novena’s Velocity where they were showcasing Subbuteo to many football lovers. Response was overwhelming especially the young children; they were attracted to the unique small figures flicking around on the table top!
This showcasing is not the only effort which reaches out to the community, TFAS has got 4 Subbuteo Gaming Clubs in Singapore which has more than 50 registered players meeting up regularly for the flicking game.
