LEARNING EXPERIENCES FROM SPORTS TO BETTER BUSINESS MANAGEMENT AT SINGAPORE MANAGEMENT UNIVERSITY

Back by popular demand, the next 27th of June, a new edition of the “Designing the winning locker room” course will be delivered at the Singapore Management University This unique leadership and team management training is here again
Over the past two decades, Spain has been peerless in producing champions in most of the world’s leading sports. Behind this unparalleled success lies a model that combines sound knowledge, deep expertise and strong passion, methodically applied across various teams and passed down from generation to generation.
Designing the Winning Locker Room is a leadership and management course which draws on lessons from the world’s leading football team, Real Madrid, and case illustrations and models applied to different organisations and key examples from the sports and creative industries to teach team dynamics, culture building and people management.
Some of the topics and framework presented during the course will be related with áreas such as practise collaborative leadership, learn emotional management of high performance teams, implement a framework for continuous improvement or deal with obstacles of talent, weakness and strength training, building team values
The date of the course is very interesting especially for football lovers who are interested in mangement skills. At this moment, Victor Sánchez is the Head Coach of Málaga CF and the team is already qualified for “play off” to promote to LaLiga first division. Just after finishing the season, Víctor will travel to Singapore to share his experience and methodology to manage talent and how to apply it into business in a programme designed in partnership with the Singapore Management University Academy.
Designing the winning Locker Room is a course that is under the umbrella of Skillsfuture, a national movement to provide Singaporeans with the opportunities to develop their fullest potential throughout life, regardless of their starting points. Through this movement, the skills, passion and contributions of every individual will drive Singapore’s next phase of development towards an advanced economy and inclusive society.
