In celebration of unwavering fan support throughout the recently concluded Malaysian Super League (MSL) season, FAS is delighted to announce the launch of the LionsXII fan bus. The bus will provide complimentary shuttle service to fans on match day throughout the LionsXII Malaysia Cup campaign. Fans may choose to board from a variety of locations, such as the Singapore Flyer, Tampines Stadium, and Dhoby Ghaut Station to the Jalan Besar Stadium. Fans may also purchase their match day tickets aboard the bus, subject to availability. The bus will commence service on 31 August 2013. Please refer to the table below for information on the shuttle service.
The service is part of a collaboration between CityTours, Singapore Sports Council (SSC), StarHub and FAS to get football fans back into the stadiums. The recently concluded Malaysia Super League (MSL) saw the LionsXII play to sold-out home matches. Mr Zainudin Nordin noted that: “The euphoria that reverberated around the stadium on the night when the LionsXII lifted the MSL trophy was nothing short of magical. That is something that we wish to replicate in the Malaysia Cup campaign. We hope that the launch of this bus will get more fans back into the stadium and that support for local football will continue. We thank all fans for their continued support.”
