Brazil retained Futsal World Cup Championship trophy afer a hard-fought 3-2 win over old rival, Spain, in the FIFA Futsal World Cup Thailand 2012! The game was a typical final where each team took their turns to score and to wild the crowd of 5,700pax.
At Bangkok’s Huamark Indoor Stadium, Brazil’s Neto scored the first goal int he 24th minute. Spain replied with an equalizer to level the score with a goal coming from Torras 5 minutes later. Game was not stopping, Spain’s Aicardo scored in the 30th minute to bring the Spanish fans up to their feet once again but that was not meant to last, Brazil’s introduction of Falcao into the game spoilt the Spanish’s celebration. Falcao scored the equalizer 4 minutes from time to send the crowd into ecstasy!
This is not the first time where Brazil’s aging tailsman, Falcao, has rescued the team. He was the hero in the semi-final where Brazil fought back from 2 goals down to a 3-2 victory over Argentina! Falcao single-handedly destroyed the Argentine’s game! Once again, he was in action when the team needed him the most, he scored Brazil’s second goal to bring the game into extra time.
Although statistic shows that Spain has got the most number of shots on goal, 13 times compared to Brazil’s 9 times, the 4 times World Champion, Brazil, has got the last laugh. Neto scored his second of the night in the 49th minute to seal the game for Brazil!
Once again, Junpiter Futbol congratulates Brazil for winning the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2012!
