Sunderland newcomer Danny Graham has signed an endorsement deal with Warrior Football which will see him wear boots from Warrior’s first football boot range, Skreamer.
The striker, who transferred to Sunderland from Swansea City in January this year, began his career aged 17 when he was signed by Middlesbrough. After a successful four-year stint at Middlesbrough, Graham went on to play for League One side Carlisle, as well as Watford, before signing for Swansea’s maiden Premier League campaign in 2011.
Ben Haworth, global sports marketing manager for Warrior Football, says Graham is a strong signing.
“As a footballer, Danny has gone down the ladder in order to come back up and it’s that sort of fighting spirit we look for in a Warrior player,” he said. “His talent, commitment and tenacity will strengthen our presence on the field.”
Graham, who earlier this year scored the instrumental goal to secure Swansea City a place in the League Cup final at Wembley, is enthused about the partnership.
“To be positioned, alongside players like Fellaini and Kompany – some of the game’s giants – is very exciting,” said Graham. “Warrior is a brand that is clearly going places in football and I look forward to working with the team moving forward."
Sunderland is set to meet Manchester United at the Stadium of Light next Saturday (30 March).
