Brazil manager Dunga and his squad of top players cannot wait to play Japan’s national team in Singapore on 14th October.

“We are truly excited to be heading to Asia to play Japan,” Dunga said in a specially recorded message for fans in the region. “I think Japan is the best team in Asia, so it is great for us to have this opportunity as we start to rebuild. I am excited about my new team and it will be wonderful for us to play in front of our many Asian fans.”

Tickets for the world-class football match will go on sale at 9 a.m. on Thursday, 4th September through www.sportshubtix.sg and from 10 a.m. through other Sports Hub Tix sales channels.

Japan, the reigning AFC Asian Cup champions, will be the home side in Singapore against Brazil, five-time winners of the FIFA World Cup. The event, part of the Gillette Brazil World Tour and the second major football match at Singapore’s new National Stadium after the visit of Juventus in August, ushers in a fresh era for both teams with new coaches and a desire to forge strong sides for the next World Cup in 2018 in Russia.

Dunga, a World Cup winner as Brazil captain in 1994 and a quarter-finalist as coach in 2010, took over as manager for the second time in July and is looking to rekindle the magic of his country’s football heritage.

Japan also has a new coach in Javier Aguirre, who guided Mexico to the last 16 at the 2002 and 2010 World Cups and left Espanyol after the end of the La Liga season in May. He is looking to build a balanced Team Japan, also known as the Samurai Blue, based on defence, ball possession and attack. The match in Singapore will be a key part of Aguirre’s preparation for Japan’s Asian Cup defence in Australia next year.

“This game between Japan and Brazil will bring some of the world’s best players to Singapore and it fits exactly with the Sports Hub’s mission to bring world-class events to the world-class venue,” said Malcolm Thorpe, Vice President of Sports Development & Events at World Sport Group, the event promoter.

“With Juventus having just played in Singapore, this is a terrific time for football fans and we are very pleased to offer such good value tickets, especially for families and people who bought tickets for the Juventus game,” Thorpe said.

Tickets for Japan v Brazil start at S$40 for adults and S$25 for children under the age of 16. There are also family packs (two adults and two children) for S$100 and S$160 depending on the seat section.
