Hailed as the next Robbie Fowler by Liverpool’s legend, Ian Rush, and having made first-team debut for Liverpool during a Europa League tie with Hearts earlier this season, this talented England youth International, Adam Morgan, was in town to participate in the inaugural NexLions Cup 2012 where Liverpool clinched the silver medal. Adam shared with Junpiter Futbol on his Liverpool dream…
JPF: Where do you see yourself in the next 2-3 years?
AM: I have got great experience playing with the (Liverpool) first team and hopefully I can establish myself and play more regular first team football. I am from the Liverpool city and as far as club is concerned, I can’t see myself playing for any other club except Liverpool.
JPF: In your own opinion, which is your strongest football attribute?
AM: Well, I have always want to be known as a player who works hard for the team and someone who will put the team before himself. Because of such attitude, I have also scored quite a handful of goals this season. I think these are my strongest attributes.
JPF: Which player do you look up to for inspiration or as role model?
AM: It has always been Robbie Fowler. He used to play for Liverpool and he’s a good striker. And when you train along side with players like Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez, these players are also great role models for the youngsters.
JPF: Who is best player in the team right now?
AM: In the team which we brought over here to Singapore are all good players. I am unable to identify any one in particular but we hope that we have shown Singapore fans some good football.
JPF: Any advice for Junpiter Futbol & Singapore readers who aspired to be a good striker like you?
AM: In my opinion, you got to work hard and train as much as you can. You got to work on the things which you want to be good at. If you want to score lots of goals, you have got to put in effort to shoot more, even if it’s after your regular training. You have to put in 110% effort to get youself to the top.
